1. Gatlinburg, Tennessee
A Gatlinburg vacation is like none other that you can experience outside of the Great Smoky Mountains.
This cozy mountain town in eastern Tennessee has beautiful hikes through the national forest, outdoor activities for all to enjoy, and cute shops to visit.

2. Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston, South Carolina is along the coast in this southern state. If you and your loved ones enjoy history, this is the place to visit.
Stroll along the cobblestone streets and visit the many museums and historical sites. Be sure to visit some of the local restaurants as well for authentic southern cuisine, and be sure to check out the beach while you are there to take in the ocean breeze.
3. New York City, New York
New York City, New York is a location that many say you have to visit before you die as it is truly iconic.
You can arrive at the city in a variety of manners, including trains and airplanes that will drop you off right inside of the city.
You can see the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, and so many more iconic locations right in the city. Be sure to grab a bagel or slice of pizza as well to experience the authenticity.
4. Chicago, Illinois
Chicago has beautiful waterfront views, wonderful weather, and big city vibes that are sure to please every member of your family.
You can even visit a beach while in Chicago as the city is near and sits n Lake Michigan. Be sure to see “The Bean”, Millenial Park, the Art Institute and so many more iconic locations when you visit the city. You can also find so much multicultural food while here.
5. San Diego, California
San Diego is a great weekend getaway by car if you live in the western half of the country, but you can also catch a quick flight to this coastal town for the weekend.
The beachfront in this town are some of the best in the world and include famous beaches like Mission Beach and Coronado Beach.
The San Diego Zoo is one of the most iconic zoos in the country as well, and there is a natural reserve for you to enjoy nature surrounding the city.
6. New Orleans, Louisiana
There is no other city in the entire country that is similar to or anything like New Orleans, Louisiana.
It is impossible to see everything that the city offers in one weekend trip, but you can see many of the top sights that are here.
There is a national museum for World War 2, the New Orleans City Park, French Quarter and so much more to see.
While in the French Quarter, you are sure to hear the infamous jazz music that the city is associated with.
7. Seattle, Washington
Seattle is another great location to visit on the western side of the country, and it is truly a jewel of a city. You may associate the city with rain, but the sights make it so worth it.
Be sure to visit Discovery Park, the Space Needle, and even the original Starbucks while here. You will have a mountain view no matter where you are in the city though, so be sure to take it all in.
