Best time to visit Andaman:
The best time to visit Andaman is mid-September to mid-March in a year. One can take risk of going in July -August as well. Then you have to take 2/3 days reserve.
This is the rainy season here and rain means business here.

How to go to Andaman?
Flights to Andaman:
This trip is from a trip to Andaman from Kolkata. However, you can get many connecting flights from different parts of India(Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, etc).
Ship to Andaman:
Alternatively, you can avail ship journey from Kolkata and Chennai. (However not suggested for honeymoon couples. This option is only for adventurists and retired persons who want to enjoy the voyage journey.)
Flights to Andaman is expensive than a ship. But within 3 hours you can touch Andaman from mainland India. But the ship may take 3 to 5 days. However, the ship journey is a very unusual adventure of its own.

How to travel around Andaman?
There are government-run ferries along with private ferries that connect Andaman with Island( Havelock or Neil Island). The government ferries connect port Blair with Havelock, Neil, Little Andaman, Diglipur, and Nicobar.
There are Helicopter and seaplane facilities connecting Havelock, diglipur, Hutbay( Little Andaman), Neil Island. Port Blair to Havelock Island/Neel island Government ferries, helicopter, private catamarans are the most reliable, fastest way to reach Havelock.
Ferries generally available three times a day starting at 7:00 a.m. Ending at 4:00 p.m..0 Port Blair to Diglipur/Rangat Government ferries operate daily from Port Blair to Diglipur.
Port Blair to Mayabunder Government ferries operate once in five days. You have to enquire about the timings in advance.
By road, You can visit Baratang, Rangat, Mayabunder, and Diglipur. One can opt for government buses also along with a cab.

Not a place about which you will hear every now and then of Andaman Island to visit during your visit but Saddle Peak National Park offers some best experiences which are to find nowhere else. Saddle peak is the highest point of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands situated at a height of 731 m surrounded by Saddle Peak National Park in the north of Andaman Island.

If you are a bird watcher, this place is a treat to the eye. While on a trip to Andaman don’t forget to get up close to nature disconnecting from the human urban world for a while, you will get the ultimate bliss and satisfaction.
Chidiya Tapu is covered with dense forest to provide a home to a large number of tropical flora and fauna. Chidiya Tapu Biological Park is filled with exquisite animals, birds and exotic plant species. It also offers one of the best places on Andaman Island for sunset. It is an offbeat destination but totally worth visiting situated 22.5 km away from Port Blair.
