This page is for fun. I am writing this page so that freshers as well as seniors can think logically.I don’t think freshers need to panic during 1st round of interview –the written test where the puzzle use to puzzle them.Everybody if we try to solve 5 puzzles per day and 60 days of preparation is taken, that is more than enough to crack an interview.

• A man said he spent 1/6 of his as a child, 1/12 as salesman in a liquor shop, 1/7 and 5 years as a politician and a good husband respectively. At that time Jim was born. Jim was elected as Alderman four years back.when he was half of his age. What is his age?
lets say his age is x.
so child=x/6
salesman= x/12
politician=x/7
good husband=5

now jim was born.Jim was elected as Alderman four years back.when he was half of his age
=x/2-4
so,x/6+x/12+x/7+5=x/2-4
=>x=84
so his age is 84 years
or
X/6 + x/12 + x/7 + 5 + 4 + x/2 = x. Solving x= 84

• Every day a cyclist meets a car at the station.The road is straight and both are travelling in the same direction. The cyclist travels with a speed of 12 mph. One day the cyclist comes late by 20 min. and meets the car 5miles before the Station. What is the speed of the car?
A very nice explanation is given here
ans-60mph
• A railway track runs parallel to a road until a bend brings the road to a level crossing.A cyclist rides along to work along the road every day at constant speed of 12miles/hour.he normally meets a ttrain that travels in the same direction at the crossing.one day he was late by 25 min and met train 6miles ahead of level crossing.can u fugure out the speed of train
A very nice explanation is given here
ans-72mph
• A lady goes for shopping. She bought some shoestrings. 4 times the number of shoestrings, she bought pins and 8 times, handkerchiefs. She paid each item with their count as each piece’s cost. She totally spent Rs. 3.24. How many handkerchiefs did she buy?
say she has bought x amount of shoestrings
pin=4x
handkerchiefs=8x
She paid each item with their count as each piece’s cost
so cost of shoestring=x*x
pin=4x*4x
handkerchiefs=8x*8x
so x*x+4x*4x+8x*8x=3.24 =324Poisa
x*x=324/81
x=2
handkerchiefs she bought=8*x=16
• 3,6,13,26,33,66,____
As per the sequence second number is double the first.So we need to calculate the actual sequence of 3,13,33,_
so first term 3=3+0
second term13=3+10  first+10
Third term33=13+20   second+20
Fourth term will be 33+30=63 third+30
