The main flow of tourism is trekking in Nepal to various 8,848 meters mountain climbing, as well as other high altitude treks.

But tourism could not proceed since the end of March, where all activities around the world remained paralyzed due to Covid-19.

Tourism Industry, the main source of earning foreign currency in the country, where all the tourism sector at present is facing financial crises.

Hence in the brink of closing, as it might take some years to get things back to normal. 

The number of people that are attached to tourism exceeds more than million either directly or indirectly. Likewise, in cities and towns of tourist interest, where tour/city guides and souvenir shops sell carpets to trinkets. As a result, all have lost their job as well as flourishing business and income through tourism have stopped.

Major Tourism Sector the worst hit by the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic:

Since the outbreak of Covid-19 throughout the world, all tourism-related business has come to standstill and is facing a worse situation.

Hundreds of trekking, tour guides have lost their job and regular income through tourism, for most was a professional career.

Besides guides, the porters are also facing the problem, as they make their hard-living carrying trekking or mountaineering equipment.

The lodge and resorts owners on the hills and mountains of Nepal Himalaya are equally in the same worst situation. As they make their living from the income of trekkers, besides farming in a smaller way. 

Likewise, hundreds of local or abroad travel and trekking agents that book holidays in Nepal Himalaya are in a near closing situation.

For instance office staff, drivers, as well as other transport companies dependent on tourism have lost their job and regular income.

Lastly with the present situation, if the Pandemic is not controlled or vaccination for Covid-19 does not come in the market.

With more chances of losing jobs of the remaining thousands of people related to tourism, and can create huge financial chaos. 

However, at present, we can only hope for the best and pray that all things will get back to normal. And thus everyone in the world can live again happily as always and forever. After a miserable time and crises from the Covid-19.
